Nikki Clarke is a Registered Psychotherapist through the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and a Canadian Certified Counsellor through the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. As a psychotherapist in the practice, Nikki works with adolescents, adults and seniors in the areas of depression, anxiety, self-esteem, assertiveness, grief and loss, relationship issues, life transitions, identity, problems adjusting to life situations, career decision making and stress management. She works with clients to assist them in identifying and building upon existing strengths and building resilience. Nikki also works with both high performance and recreational athletes to address obstacles that may be in the way of them achieving optimal performance
Nikki studied Counselling and Sports Psychology at the University of Ottawa where she received her Master’s Degree. She worked for over ten years at the University of Ottawa as a Professional Counsellor providing both Career and Personal Counselling to undergraduate and graduate students. In this capacity, she also supervised students completing their Masters in Educational Counselling. She has delivered numerous workshops and presented at Provincial and National Conferences including most recently at the Canadian Conference on Positive Psychology (2012). In addition to being a counsellor, Nikki is an Associate Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation. In this role, she works with clients to support them through transitions and help them both identify and create a plan to achieve important life goals.
